Beautify and add interest to the waterscape
A floating island will be an enchanting addition to any waterscape, private, commercial or municipal. Islands can be smaller for ponds or larger for lakes.The cleaning powers of the island are increased with aeration systems and bio-augmentation. Solar lighting can be added to the island to create a dazzling nightime effect. Floating islands provide resting and nesting habitat for ducks and loons, avocets and snipe, and a host of other local bird species. Frogs deposit their eggs on the plant root structure, salamanders patrol the waterline, turtles climb aboard out to sun themselves, and dashing blue dragonflies hover and feed on mosquitoes.
