Activate your bacteria before you apply it to your pond. This kit enlivens the bacteria so they are hungry and ready to consume your nutrient rich sludge! Enlivened bacteria should be used immediately.

Beer makers will love this! The BactaKit is the perfect addition to your pond management tool kit. By introducing this easy step into your water management regime, you improve the efficiency of your bacteria treatments manyfold!

The BactaKit comes complete with a 5 gallon pail, an aquatic heater (110V), an air diffuser stone, 5 feet (1.5 m) of flexible hose, and a small air pump. All you need is pond water and beneficial  bacteria (wet or dry). Here is what you do:

1. Pour in 1 liter of liquid or several pouches of dry bacteria into the pail filled with pond water. The pond water aclimitizes the bacteria to your pond and unlike cholorinated water, will do no harm to the bacteria.
2. Turn on the aerator and heater and let sit for 24 hours. Do not turn-on the heater until it is fully immersed in the liquid in your BactaKit to avoid breakage or damage to the heater. The combination of heat and aeration enliven the bacteria so they become hungry and ready to consume nutrient rich sludge efficiently without being consumed first by other aquatic life.
3. Turn off aerator and heater and remove from pail. Pour the activated pond water into the larger pond and wait to see the results.

Repeat treatments throughout the season, particulary after heavy rainfall or periods of extreme heat.
