Bacterius™ WTF - Wastewater Treatment Formulation
|
Extra strength for municipal and industrial waste water problems.
Bacterius is composed of natural bacteria, enzymes and nutrients whose combination was especially created to restore and maintain the quality of water-based ecosystems. The bacterial content of Bacterius did not undergo any genetic engineering; they are 100% natural and exist naturally in the earth, air and water. The principal effectiveness of these bacteria lies in their ability to secrete enzymes which degrade organic matter and help clarify pond water. The bacterial stocks are absolutely without danger to the environment, plants, people and animals. Information appearing in this website do not constitute in any way a guarantee of performance. Each case is different and dependent on a myriad of environmental and ecological factors. We assume no responsibility for the misuse of this product.
Grease accumulation in drains, sewers, lift stations and wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) causes many problems. Grease solidification and build-up restricts flow and can cause the complete blockages and back ups. Grease accumulation on pumps causes them to over heat and burn out. Grease build-up provides an anaerobic environment favorable to the growth detrimental bacteria, which produce noxious odors of hydrogen sulfide or even highly toxic and explosive gases such as methane. Hydrogen sulfide in the zones with oxygen such as gravity sewers and lift stations becomes a food source for sulfate oxidizing bacteria (Thiobacillus); they convert the hydrogen sulfide into sulfuric acid, which dissolves concrete and metal structures within sewers, lift stations and even manholes covers.
Grease, in the aeration basin, reduces oxygen transfer on two levels: the floc and the water surface. Grease also causes problems of poor settling and foaming. Excessive grease content in the sludge reduces dewatering efficiency. The thickening of the sludge could be also affected because of the rapid development of anaerobic conditions that will cause sludge floating.
Available in 25 pound pails of 8 ounce soluble pouches.
Eliminates FOG (fats, oils & grease)
Eliminates organic solids and some inorganic solids
Reduces sludge and odors
Reduces BOD and COD
Restores equilibrium in the treatment ecosystem
Keeps wastewater levels within regulatory compliance
Easy to use! BacteriusTM comes in soluble pouches: just toss in the required number of pouches and that's it...problems solved! We recommend you use all bacteria within 2 years of opening the bucket. Keep bacteria in a cool area and do not allow to freeze.
Technical InformationApplication: The dosage requirements may change from application to application, depending on the level of waste contaminants, the type of wastewater systme and the amount of influent and effluent through each system on a daily basis. The following dosing is a starting point. Exact dosage rates may need to be adjusted, based on the system you are treating. Apply product directly to the wastewater. Suggested dosage : Days 1-3: Apply 25 lbs per million gallons of water flow, per day (per BOD of 250) Days 3-7: Apply 12-15 lbs per million gallons of water flow, per day (per BOD of 250) Maintenance: Apply 3-4 lbs per million gallons of water flow, per day (per BOD of 250) |
